Taco Chili - My Bariatric Solutions

Taco Chili


1 pound ground beef

1 onion, finely chopped

2 cups chicken broth

15 ounce can pinto beans, drained and rinsed

15 ounce can tomato sauce

10 ounce can diced tomatoes and hatch chilies

3.8 ounce can sliced black olives, drained

1 taco seasoning packet

Additional toppings: cheese, green onion, cilantro



  1. Heat a large soup pot over medium-high heat. Then add ground beef and onion and sauté until cooked thoroughly.
  2. Add remaining ingredients (except additional toppings) and turn heat up to high to bring to a boil.
  3. Cover the pot and then turn the heat down to medium-low. Simmer for 30 minutes, stirring occasionally. Taste, and then add more taco seasoning if desired.
  4. Serve with additional toppings.
